I love covers and remixes. Firstly, because I have a super high threshold when it comes to listening to the same song over and over again, which cannot necessarily be said of everyone around me. So in order to keep friends, I have to play a different version every now and then. When Suzy Menkes published her article “The Circus of Fashion” in The International Herald Tribune back in February, we didn’t have to wait long for the replies. We don’t really do the whole Valentine’s thing, but somehow I can’t totally ignore it either. Then again, any reason to make dessert will do! Bearing the occasion in mind I opted for one of our favourite desserts which we often had when we just started going out: Tiramisu. When James Blake‘s self titled first album came out in 2011 he immediately joined my ones to watch list (or rather my songkick concert list). It was the perfect album that keeps your interest when listening closely, but also works brilliantly in the background. No wonder that it became an office favourite.
